UPDATED - Articulated lorry left hanging over wall after Norland road accident

Police said the council and a vehicle recovery team were called to remove the vehicle after the accident, which happened at around 12.30pm.

Hide AdIt took them seven hours to recover the vehicle from the enbankment.
Mark Thompson, Calderdale Council’s director of economy and environment, said: “A heavy goods vehicle (HGV) was reported as being stuck on Pickwood Lane in Norland yesterday (Wednesday) at approximately 12.30pm. This vehicle was recovered by 7.30pm.
“There are a large number of roads across Calderdale that are unsuitable for HGVs and although incidents like this are rare, we try to make sure that there is clear signage to inform HGV drivers about the road ahead.
“There is a sign at the bottom of Pickwood Lane clearly stating that the road is not suitable for HGVs.”
