Video: Damage and disruption as Calderdale is hit by unseasonal weather

There was rain, sunshine and strong winds as Calderdale had a mixed bag of weather over the weekend.

There was chaos for motorists on Friday afternoon as heavy rain left surface water on the roads.

That was cleared by Saturday as the sun came out to make it an extra special Halifax Agricultural Show.

Just as people were getting ready to buy another bottle of sun cream, Calderdale saw the aftereffects of Hurricane Bertha. Strong winds left trees felled and heavy downpours saw roads covered in surface water once more.
