Video: Woman rescued by Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team

Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team were called to an incident at the Bronte Waterfalls, near Stanbury, this morning (Wednesday).

A female had sustained a fractured ankle and was suffering from water immersion and mild hypothermia.

Within four minutes of been alerted to the incident by the Yorkshire Ambulance Service at around 10.30am, 15 team members were en route to assist at the scene.

At the scene, the team doctor and paramedics tended to the casualty and other team members prepared the bell stretcher to transfer the woman to a helicopter.

She was then flown to Airedale Hospital. Team members left around 12pm.
