"A further 20-30 mm is likely widely, with more than 60 mm over some higher ground areas - bringing totals since Tuesday into the range of 100 - 200 mm over some hills.
"Rain may temporarily turn to heavy, wet snow as it clears, leading to a cover of one to four cm in places, possibly more on high ground.
"Strong winds will accompany the rain at times and may add to travelling difficulties across higher and more exposed routes."
