The Met Office has issued snow warnings for the weekend and said more could be put in place.

Metro had warnings in place to passengers as many bus companies had to run limited routes throughout the day. Schools were also badly hit with 32 being closed in the morning.

Calderdale Council services were disrupted with refuse crews only working on the main roads. Recycling crews were also out on the main roads but will not be able to collect boxes of glass/cans until the next collection day.

The council confirmed that all crews were out gritting major (precautionary) routes to keep them open and safe and advised people to take extra care if you need to drive on untreated roads.
