Wintry weather continues

Further warnings for snow have been issued for Calderdale, as the wintry weather continues.

The district is waking up to widespread disruption for a second time after more heavy snow and blizzards over night.

Side roads are covered with standing snow, with main roads passable but still affected.

Forecasters are expecting the snow to continue until around 6pm tonight especially on higher ground.

At lower levels, some areas could see five to ten centimetres of snow.

Tonight there is expected to be the odd snow flurry but otherwise dry and cloudy. It will remain windy and very cold with temperatures expected to drop to -3 degrees celsuis.

But the snow is expected to return tomorrow evening and will continue into Monday and Tuesday.
