Lloyds Bank in Hebden Bridge reopened its doors this week.

The branch, at Albert Street, is usually only open on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays but will open five days a week for the next fortnight.

The bank’s opening hours up to January 22 are Monday to Friday 9.30am to 4.30pm.

B Beads, Hat Therapy, Snug Art Gallery and Hair Care, on Market Street, Hebden Bridge, are all open.

Local Businessman Paul Thompson, proprietor of Projex Property Services, a Kirklees and Calderdale-based property maintenance company is offering free carpet cleaning to pensioner flood victims in Calderdale.

Mytholmroyd Business Networks Group will host an information ‘Business Flood Recovery’ breakfast meeting next Tuesday, this will be an opportunity for affected businesses to hear about dealing with insurance, legal and flood resilience issues from experts, and Calderdale Business team will advise on funding available.

There will be other help and advice on hand including Welcome to Yorkshire for those in the visitor economy.

Hebden Bridge Antiques Centre’s new home will be at the Pennine Building in Valley Road, opposite the town hall. After being flooded out for the second time in three years, Trish Banyard and husband Peter, owners of the antiques centre in Albert Street for the past ten years are now relocating the business and hope to re-open in early February.
