Cup draw at Jer Lane

Officials of the Foster’s Halifax League will hold a very public draw for the third round of the Halifax Parish Cup and Crossley Shield on Saturday.

It will take place at the tea interval of the Premier Division game between leaders Jer Lane and third-placed Mytholmroyd.

Both clubs’ first teams have won the Parish Cup in recent times and are still involved in this year’s competition.

League fixture secretary Peter Taylor, an umpire at the match, will supervise the draw.

Four of the eight Halifax League Twenty/20 games went ahead on Tuesday after rain earlier in the day.

Results: Cullingworth 119-8 (G Rankin 50 ret), Greetland 121-5; Bridgeholme 154 (Y Mahmood 51 ret), Southowram 116; Jer Lane 188-3 Warley 147; Copley 235, Shelf 133.

Tuesday: Sowerby Bridge v Blackley, SBCI v Great Horton PC, Old Crossleyans v Triangle, Booth v Sowerby SP.
