Damaging day for Crossleyans

Selby extended their lead on 21 minutes when they were awarded a penalty try, as they pressed in the corner, for a Crocs’ hand in the ruck. The easy kick was added.
Visiting No 8 Sam Broughton was sin-binned a few minutes later and Selby mauled to the try line where prop Greg Nagel forced his way over for a converted score.
Crocs’ fly-half Zane Sanders was then yellow carded for backchat and it took a good tackle wide on the left from veteran prop Andy Day to stop the home side scoring again before half time.

Hide AdThe home forwards flexed their muscles again for prop Duncan Harvey to score on 45 minutes but the score remained at 25-3 when the conversion struck an upright.
Crocs had a good spell and from a tap penalty flanker Cameron Brannon went over in the, Ryan Sweeney adding a fine conversion.
Fullback Gareth Sweeney went off with a leg injury, forcing a reshuffle, and Selby took advantage when winger Ashton Dallimore jinked under the posts for a converted try which made it 30-10 on 52 minutes.
Fullback Ben Lunt added another five points to the home tally but Crocs replied through Chris Seymour, who marked his 400th first team appearance for the club with a try. Ryan Sweeney added the goal on 63 minutes.
