9. Devante Rodney
A potential outside name to consider on this list is a player that Shaymen fans will know well; former FC Halifax Town front man Devante Rodney. Rodney is currently in transfer talks with Rochdale, with the striker out of contract and is yet to sign forms; thus, Rodney could be prized away from Spotland with the temptation of more regular minutes elsewhere. The fact he knows FC Halifax Town knows the club well and has enjoyed successful loan spells is an added bonus. One may point to his injury record and the fact that he is not always available, but he is a good striker for the level. Physically he is strong, has experience under his belt, knows Chris Millington having played under him before when Wild was in charge and given that he will only likely be second fiddle at Dale, a Harker-less Town could be appealing. 10. Jordan Thewlis
The final player on this list is Jordan Thewlis. He finished the 2023-24 campaign as the top scorer for Alfreton Town in the National League North, albeit has already announced he will be leaving the club this summer. If The Shaymen want to add a smart striking option, a move for the former Town man would potentially be a clever bit of business. He is his early 30's and so is not a developmental, long-term option, but he is a hard-working and intelligent forward. His goal return with Alfreton Town is particularly impressive given he scored as many goals as he did in a side - like FC Halifax Town - don't create a prolific volume of chances in front of goal and so has demonstrated sharp finishing and good composure in front of goal. He said he wanted another shot at the National League; he is worth a look. Photo: Getty Images
