Brighouse beaten by Bridge

Brighouse Town's form slump continued with a 3-0 defeat at Bamber Bridge in the Evo Stik NPL's first division north last night.

They were behind from the eighth minute when Stuart Vasey struck and Paul Quinn’s men conceded again early in the second half, Matt Lawler doubling the home lead.

Chris Marlow’s 81st minute effort completed an unhappy night for Brighouse, who have now lost four in a row.

They slipped to 13th place, Bamber Bridge going above them.
