The West Riding CA champions, who had won 20-0 and 11-1 in the two previous rounds, found Halifax AFL newcomers Illingworth St Mary’s much tougher nuts to crack but went through 3-1 at Natty Lane yesterday.

Warley Rangers will play wither Stump Cross or Brighouse Town’s development side - who meet at Shroggs Park on March 7 - in the other semi-final.

Meanwhile, Warley found out their Challenge Cup semi-final opponents yesterday when Northowram edged out division-lower visitors Denholme United 5-4.

Shelf United play Midgley United in the first semi at Ryburn’s Ripponden Wood ground next Saturday.

The top three in the Halifax AFL all won - Midgley United by 4-0 away to Sowerby United, title favourites Stump Cross by 4-2 at home to Calder ‘76 and Ryburn United by 3-1 at home to Copley United.
