Facey gets Brighouse's winner

Danny Facey marked his return from injury with the only goal as Brighouse Town beat Radcliffe Borough at Hove Edge yesterday.

Facey struck in the 77th minute to give Town their first win of 2016 and lift themselves a place to 12th in Division One North of the Evo Stik Northern Premier League.

The striker eluded the defence and fired home from 10 yards.

Brighouse were without vice captain Adam Wilson and Tom Haigh and may hope to have the pair back for Tuesday’s trip to play Scarborough Athletic at Bridlington.

Scarborough were beaten 1-0 but far from disgraced away to runaway leaders Warrington Town yesterday. Again it was a 77th minute goal which proved decisive, James McCartan’s effort moving the Cheshire side 12 points clear.
