Man of the match

Matty Brown - made a big difference to the team since returning from a long term injury. Looked calm and organised against Boston.

Another two points dropped against a Boston team having a poor season. All top seven teams in the league failed to win on Saturday. The Shaymen are not going to catch Fylde now.

84th minute. Matty Kosylo narrowly missed the chance to win the game with a cracking shot, just over the bar.

Man of the match

No real standout performers this week, but central defence was our strongest area. Matty Brown gets the vote, although Scott Garner didn’t do a lot wrong either.

Yet again, the players didn’t seem to know what they were about. Team selection suggested we would be playing the ball on the floor, but we immediately knock the ball forward to our non-existent big man up front! To be fair, Boston’s game plan worked a treat, and we simply failed to adapt. Peniket continues to be a yard too slow and not strong enough for the game he is asked to play.

Moment of the match

The merciful substitution of Danny Clarke with Jordan Sinnott, which was inevitable from the start. Just a shame it was an hour too late.
