The Town manager says any new additions would be loan players or free agents, but was tight-lipped about what position they were.

He said: “We’ve had a couple in training with us, and there’s two or three players we’re monitoring over the next seven days.

“I’m in discussions with another couple of potential ones.

“I have quite a few irons in the fire, it’s whether the money’s right on both sides, whether they want to come etc.

“We have got people in the building and ready to come in the building, but we just now need to finalise whether we can get them in the building or not.”

Wild added: “I don’t want people expecting four to come in. It’ll be two maximum, but we’re just keeping our options open, keeping a couple of plates spinning to see which one comes off.”
