While The Shaymen are one game from Wembley in the FA Trophy, they remain embroiled in a battle for survival in the league, and could be overtaken by The Gulls if they lose at Plainmoor.

Torquay have only lost once in their last nine matches and have not conceded a goal in more than three hours of football, although only Halifax have conceded more goals in the division than Torquay.

Only Boreham Wood have won fewer home games in the league than Torquay, while only Boreham Wood and Kiddermintser have lost more on their own patch.

Striker Tyrone Marsh is their joint top-scorer along with defender James Hurst, both of whom have seven goals, although Marsh has not scored in his last seven appearances.

Forward Nathan Blissett looks to be their danger man though, having scored four in his last five games.

It will be the fifth consecutive away game for Halifax, with their last win at Torquay coming back in April 2002 when goals from Paul Stoneman, Matthew Clarke, Paul Harsley and Craig Middleton earned them a 4-2 victory.
