Thoughts
Three home games in a row now for Town - it’s got to be a minimum of, what, six points from nine hasn’t it? I would have thought tonight would be the toughest of the three, at least on paper, as Solihull have a good manager and some cracking players. But Town have proved they can beat them already this season, and they need to do so again tonight. Boreham Wood was by no means perfect but it’s something to build on, a step in the right direction, and Town have to build on it tonight, and make another step in the right direction. Performance important tonight as well in terms of showing desire, spirit and commitment, show the fans they’re striving with everything they have inside them to put things right.
David Bosomworth’s programme notes
On Barnet - “It was an entertaining game and rightly the fans were appreciative despite the result and light years away from our disappointing result and performance against Scunthorpe, when we were less than effective.”
David Bosomworth’s programme notes
“We now embark on a run of three home games and it is important that we take advantage of this if we can.”
Chris Millington’s programme notes
“We ask the fans to trust the effort and endeavour of the team, have faith in them to execute and implement a game plan capable of getting three points. Above and beyond trusting the lads the fans can also play their part in earning the three points by banging the drum and maintaining a really fantastic atmosphere throughout the game, much as the wonderful travelling support have tried to do on the road.”
Chris Millington’s programme notes
“It is undeniable that we need to score more goals and it is very encouraging to be creating more dangerous attacks but it’s now time to convert those attacks into goals and results.”
