The Shaymen had a free weekend due to their game at Eastligh being called off because of a waterlogged pitch, while Sutton come into the game on the back of an impressive 1-0 win at Bromley on Saturday.

That win leaves Sutton eight points off the play-off places with two games in hand, so three points at The Shay is essential if they are to maintain their slim hopes of a top-seven finish.

Their victory at Bromley was their first in six matches, but they have only lost once in their last 16 games.

They have earned more points and conceded fewer goals on the road than at Gander Green Lane this season. Top scorer Harry Beautyman has netted 15 goals in 32 league appearances this term, including two in their 2-2 draw with leaders Barrow on February 22.

Town striker Devante Rodney (pictured) was a doubt for the trip to Eastleigh on Saturday with a hamstring strain, so the enforced break could mean he is back fit. Jeff King is available again after serving a two-game ban.

It is the first of three consecutive home games for The Shaymen, who then host Woking and Ebbsfleet.
