Former Halifax manager Fullarton appointed Walsall’s technical director
Former FC Halifax Town manager Jamie Fullarton has been appointed as Walsall’s technical director.
Fullarton was in charge at The Shay for 17 months, succeeding Billy Heath in February 2018 and helping Town avoid relegation during the 2017-18 campaign.
After the club’s transition from part-time to a hybrid version of full-time in summer 2018, Fullarton guided them to a 15th placed finish in the National League the following season.
Walsall are 20th in League Two and managed by Brian Dutton.
Fullarton will provide strategic direction, oversight and management of the Football Department – First-Team and Academy and help realise the Board’s footballing philosophy.
He will also head up the recruitment of key personnel in conjunction with the Board of Directors.
His most recent role was at Crystal Palace where he worked as Head of Emerging Talent since October 2019.
