One to watch: Kyle Wootton. Former Halifax loanee Wootton has 12 goals in 22 league games this season, including both in County’s 2-2 draw with King’s Lynn last week.

The Shaymen have only failed to score once in 17 games.

Danny Williams will miss the game due to his two-match suspension.

Only Aldershot and Torquay have scored more away goals in the league than Halifax.

Halifax’s last win at Meadow Lane was in August 1968, when they won 2-1.

Town have only scored the first goal once in their last nine games.

Loan signings Kenton Richardson, a 21-year-old right-back from Sunderland, and 32-year-old centre-back Mark Ellis from Tranmere, could make their debuts for the hosts having been brought in to cover for injuries to Ben Turner, Richard Brindley, Damien McCrory and Tylor Golden.

County have only lost once in their last 11 matches.

Only Bromley’s Michael Cheek has scored more goals in the division than County’s Kyle Wootton.
