It was an epic final with quality bowling throughout, and very close throughout at five apiece, eight apiece, 10 apiece, 15 apiece and then Dawson took the lead at 17-15, only for Dawson to lose his length and allowed Leeming to take advantage and run out a 21-18 win.

Leeming began with a hard game against Andrew Gallagher, who took a 9-2 lead only for Leeming to inch his way back into it and hit the front at 15-14, going on to win to 17.

His semi final win came against Brendan Malone. Leeming took a 15-5 lead only for Malone to hit back to 15-12 but then some great bowling pulled Leeming away to a 21-13 result.

Dawson had three hard games too - a 21-1i win over Mick Walker, followed by a 21-19 game with Peter Callaghan, then falling short in the final to Leeming.

The supplementary was won by Gordon Bradford of Greetland with a 21-18 success against local bowler Steve Rothwell of Hove Edge in another wonderfull final, with Rothwell taking a 10-3 lead only for Bradford to fight back and take a 12-10 lead.

Bradford carried on into a 19-14 lead before Rothwell hit back to 18-19 before Bradford claimed the game.

Bradford started out with a bye, as his opponent was ill, and in his semi final game against Simon Robinson, Bradford was in command throughout, winning to 16, before beating Rothwell in final.

A great day of crown green bowling, and all prizes were presented by sponsor Mike Berry.
