They will be away to holders Fryston in January.

Darren Phillips’ side opened the scoring in the first minute when Gareth Blackburn made the most of a fortunate bounce from a Chris Brooke kick on the last tackle.

He burst through the first tackle and touched down under the posts, Eli Dow adding the conversion.

The Humbersiders got into their stride and started to gain yards in attack. The Chevinedge men tackled strongly, with veterans Luke Garnett, Liam Green, Phil Taylor and Math Turner to the fore and Dom Booth and Dom Patrice giving strong support.

Their defence was breached, however, after 24 minutes when the visitors deservedly drew level. Poor marking from acting half back allowed the Reckitts hooker to dart through the middle and feed the supporting scrum half, who scored under the posts. The successful goal made it 6-6.

Patrice restored Siddal’s lead on the stroke of half time when he won the race to a Dow kick. Dow converted from wide out.

Siddal went further ahead after 48 minutes when Taylor forced his way over. The kick was missed but the home side led 16-6.

Reckitts hit back through their powerful second rower out wide and the conversion reduced the deficit to four points.

Reckitts looked set to take the lead two minutes later but dropped the ball with the line at their mercy and that proved a turning point.

The home side stormed back with Gaz English, Paul Long, Conner MacCallum and Matty Prest making yards.

Patrice scored by the flag after 67 minutes when fed by Taylor and Liam Green sealed victory towards the end with English doing the spadework.

Dow converted but Reckitts scored a late six-pointer.
