Internationally acclaimed performer Ellie Sax will bring Ibiza to Halifax this December with her major new immersive music experience.

The show, Faithful Ibiza, will take place at Halifax Minster on December 16, and the audience can expect spectacular 3D projection mapping, live performances, and special guests Utah Saints.

The Minster will serve as the launch destination for the Faithful Ibiza show, which will then go on to tour historic venues across the UK and Europe in 2027.

The show will also feature a specially reunited choir with a deeply personal connection to Ellie Sax and her husband and creative partner Harry.

Harry’s late mother previously ran the choir alongside the Minster’s vicar, Andy Barber, and the choir will be brought back together to perform as part of the show in a meaningful tribute.

Ellie said: “Halifax has always held such a special place in our hearts. We’ve been incredibly lucky to perform at The Piece Hall over the years, both with Ministry of Sound and at our own shows, and the support we’ve received from the Halifax crowds has been absolutely phenomenal.

“When we started developing Faithful Ibiza, we knew we wanted to create something completely different. We wanted to take the energy, atmosphere and music of Ibiza and bring it into some of the most beautiful and historic buildings across the UK and Europe, using immersive technology to make the buildings themselves part of the experience.

“But for us, there was absolutely no better home for Faithful Ibiza than Halifax. It’s a town that has supported us throughout our journey, and being able to launch something this special here means the world to us.

“Halifax Minster also has a very personal connection to our family. Andy Barber used to run the choir with Harry’s mum before she sadly passed away, so bringing that choir back together for this event is going to be an incredibly emotional and special moment.

“To have Utah Saints joining us, the choir performing and the whole Minster transformed through 3D projection mapping on 16th December is going to be something really special.

“This is just the beginning of Faithful Ibiza. We’ve got big plans to take the concept across the UK and Europe in 2027, but we couldn’t imagine starting this journey anywhere else. Halifax has given us so much love over the years, and now we want to give something truly unforgettable back.”
