Catch train for a luxurious festive journey through Brighouse

Christmas revellers can tuck into a festive meal with a difference aboard Britain’s most luxurious train as it meanders majestically through the Yorkshire countryside.

A slap-up seven-course lunch with champagne and wine will be served aboard the Northern Belle after it leaves Brighouse on December 22.

The carefully-renovated 1930s-style Pullman carriages, one of which was once used by the Queen on her Royal Train, were formerly part of the iconic Orient Express group.

But they were bought by Huddersfield businessman David Pitts a few years ago for an undisclosed sum.

The train is scheduled to leave York at 11am on December 22, before picking up more passengers at Wakefield Kirkgate at 11.30am and then Brighouse at noon. It is due back at Brighouse at 5pm.
