Pop superstar Sophie Ellis-Bextor is heading to Halifax next summer for a glittering outdoor headline show.
The chart-topping singer will headline Live At The Piece Hall on Friday, July 2, and she will be joined on the night by special guests Scouting For Girls, promising a night of infectious pop anthems, dancefloor classics and unforgettable singalongs in the historic open-air courtyard.

With an impressive career spanning more than 25 years, Sophie Ellis-Bextor has established herself as one of the UK’s most enduring pop stars.
She has achieved five Top 10 albums and eight Top 10 singles, with iconic hits including Murder on the Dancefloor, Take Me Home, Get Over You and Heartbreak (Make Me A Dancer) becoming firm fan favourites.
Few songs have enjoyed a resurgence quite like Murder on the Dancefloor. More than two decades after its original release, the track became a global phenomenon once again after featuring in the climactic finale of the hit film Saltburn.
The song stormed back into the UK Singles Chart at Number 2, entered the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time and has since amassed more than 11 billion global streams.

Renowned for her glittering live shows and infectious stage presence, captivates audiences worldwide and more than 25 years into her solo career, she continues to enjoy both commercial and critical success.
Her ninth studio album, Perimenopop, was released in 2025 to widespread acclaim, while earlier this year she celebrated the 25th anniversary of her landmark debut album Read My Lips with a special edition.
Joining Sophie in Halifax will be Scouting For Girls, the multi-platinum indie-pop favourites who have sold more than two million albums and two million singles, earned four BRIT Award nominations and scored four Top 10 hits.
Best known for infectious anthems including She's So Lovely, This Ain't a Love Song, Heartbeat and Elvis Ain't Dead, the band have enjoyed a string of radio smashes and sold-out shows at Wembley Arena, the Royal Albert Hall and London's Palladium.

Nicky Chance-Thompson MBE DL FRSA, CEO of The Piece Hall Charitable Trust, said: "Move over kitchen disco, it’s time to crack out the sequins for our very own courtyard disco.
“Sophie Ellis-Bextor was an absolute joy when she supported Nile Rodgers & CHIC and so many people suggested she come back - from original fans to those who fell in love with her during lockdown, and the younger crowd who discovered her through that iconic Saltburn moment.
“Her unique sound is a perfect fit for our unique venue, and this show is guaranteed to lift your spirits and get those feet moving!"
