RSPCA to hold a Charity Golf Day to raise funds for the Halifax branch
Golfers, businesses and animal lovers are being invited to come together for a day on the fairway – all while helping local animals in need.
The RSPCA Halifax, Huddersfield & Bradford Branch is hosting its very first Charity Golf Day on Wednesday, September 30 at Halifax Golf Club in Ovenden.
The day promises plenty of friendly competition, good food, prizes and, most importantly, the chance for the community to come together and support a local cause.
Organised with the support of Your Golf Day, the event will raise vital funds for the next stage of the RSPCA Branch's Really Big ReFURb appeal at Wade Street Animal Centre in Halifax.

Over the past 12 months, the animal centre has undergone a major transformation starting with Phase one which included their kennels and small animal unit.
Now, the charity is looking ahead to Phase two that will refurbish the much-loved cattery and creating better facilities for all the animals who come into its care.
As an independent local RSPCA Branch, RSPCA Halifax, Huddersfield & Bradford relies on the support of its community to continue caring for hundreds of animals each year.

Players of all abilities are encouraged to take part. For £145 plus VAT per pair, golfers will receive a welcome drink and breakfast butty on arrival, 18 holes of golf, a post-match meal and the chance to win prizes.
There are also opportunities for businesses to get involved.
Businesses can sponsor a tee for £50 plus VAT, giving the chance to have their branding displayed on a dedicated tee, leaflets in player goody bags and receive social promotion.
Lauren Moore, Fundraising Manager, said: "We're really excited to be holding our very first Golf Day and bringing people together for what we hope will be a fun day out.
"Our Really Big ReFURb project is all about securing the future of our animal centre and making sure we can continue giving local animals the care they deserve for years to come.
"We're so grateful to the local businesses who have already come on board to sponsor the day, as well as everyone who has signed up to play.
"It's fantastic to see the community getting behind us.
"Places are filling up, so if you fancy getting a team together and enjoying a great day of golf while supporting local animals, we'd love you to join us!"
