Calderdale village could be home to new nursery
A new nursery could be created in a Calderdale village.
A planning application has been submitted to Calderdale Council seeking outline permission for the day care nursery on land opposite Bobbin Mill Close in Cornholme.
According to the bid, the land is currently vacant and the applicant wishes to build a single-storey nursery for 36 children, with six members
of staff.

The council’s Highways team have raised concerns about the applicant’s plans for parking at the site, saying there is a “significant highway safety concern” with the proposed use of the staff parking area for drop-off and collection of children.
People have until Monday, November 9 to share their views on the plans via the planning portal on Calderdale Council’s website.
