Halifax business extends sponsorship deal with snooker star Stan Moody
Halifax firm Collett Transport has renewed its sponsorship of professional snooker player Stan Moody, extending a successful partnership into a sixth consecutive year.
Since first backing the Halifax youngster in 2021, the company has proudly supported his rise from promising prospect to one of the sport’s most exciting young players.

During the 2025/26 campaign, Stan broke into the world’s top 40, reached the quarter-finals of both the Wuhan Open and British Open and became the first British teenager since Judd Trump in 2007 to qualify for the World Snooker Championship at the Crucible Theatre.
Members of the Collett team were proud to be at the Crucible to witness another milestone in Stan’s career as he made his World Championship debut. Facing reigning World Champion Kyren Wilson, Stan produced a memorable performance, taking a 7-3 lead before being knocked out.
David Collett, Managing Director of Collett and Sons Ltd, said: “Supporting Stan over the past six years has been a pleasure.
"We’ve watched him grow from a talented young player into one of the country’s most exciting prospects, and we’re delighted to continue backing him for another season.
"Everyone at Collett wishes him every success for the year ahead.”
Stan Moody said: “It means a lot to have Collett’s support for another year. They’ve been behind me since I was a young player and it’s been brilliant to have them follow my journey so far.
"Last season was a really special one for me and I’m looking forward to building on that and seeing what I can achieve next.”
