Delay to opening of boutique aparthotel where Calderdale pub used to be
A new luxury aparthotel being created in a Calderdale town has put back its opening date.
Wayth Hotels’ The Civic Hall was due to open on Crown Street in Hebden Bridge, where the Crown Inn once stood, yesterday.
But the opening date has been pushed back until November 28.
The team there have posted: “We’ve made the difficult decision to postpone our opening date to November 28 to give us more time to get everything perfect for our first guests.

"Unfortunately, as with many renovation projects, we’ve faced a few unexpected challenges that have caused delays to finishing the second floor.
"We’re just as disappointed as you are to push the date back.
"The team has been working incredibly hard and will continue to do so over the coming weeks to make sure everything is ready to welcome you.
"Thank you for your patience and understanding. We’re looking forward to finally opening our doors at the end of November!”
The aparthotel – combining elements of both apartments and hotels – is designed for “independent travellers, creatives, families, and longer stays”, says its owners.
It is being operated by Wayth Hotels, who already run another aparthotel – The Briarcroft in Goole.
The bar area on the ground floor of the building is not part of the aparthotel.
