One of Calderdale's favourite wedding and events venues shuts down
A popular Calderdale wedding and events venue has closed.
According to Companies House, a winding up resolution has been lodged and a voluntary liquidator appointed for Bertie’s Banqueting Rooms in Elland.
It’s company status is listed as “liquidation”.
And Bertie’s assets including catering equipment, a selfie photo pod and an LED dance floor were sold off at auction at the end of last month.
The iconic venue has hosted hundreds of weddings and other celebrations and events, including many school proms.
In 2019, David Beckham and Ryan Giggs were there to attend the wake of former Manchester United coach Eric Harrison.
