End of an era for Halifax town centre pub
A Halifax town centre pub is shutting for a refurbishment and the start of “a new chapter”.
Yates, on Silver Street, will close from Thursday, November 5 for the makeover.
On social media, the pub has posted that Yates will become a Craft Union pub, but the team there will remain.
A reopening date has not yet been announced.
"A new chapter begins,” the pub has posted.
"Yates Halifax will be moving over to Craft Union and, after 17 wonderful years of service, we are delighted to announce that Martin will be taking over the pub as the operator!
"There’s plenty to look forward to with celebrations, great times, familiar faces and many more Saturday nights at Yates Halifax.
"We can’t wait to show you what’s in store. Thank you to everyone who has supported us, and we look forward to making many more memories together!
"Same great team, a fresh new look and plenty more reasons to visit and celebrate.”
