9. From real to a fictional school
Since 2000, St Catherines Catholic High School in Holmfield has transformed from a normal secondary school to a fictional one.Ackley Bridge now uses the building to film the Channel 4 series.
10. Lloyds Banking Group takeover
HBOS was formed at the starts of 2000s after a merger of Halifax plc and the Bank of Scotland but then in 2009 the group was acquired by Lloyds Banking Group. The big office at Trinity Road hasnt changed however.
11. Courier office moves
Up until 2015 the offices of the Halifax Courier were located on King Cross Street. The paper is now produced from an office at Dean Clough.
12. See the Pump Room
This iconic pub was a familiar sight to those driving into town from Salterhebble. Sadly the 220-year-old venue off Church Street was demolished in 2016 with plans for it to be turned into a car park for a new shopping centre.
