Over the last year, the company has grown its client base by more than 20 per cent and transacted a record £470 million through its card payment systems.

The firm now services over 3,000 clients across Yorkshire and is on track to increase this to more than 3,500 by the end of 2018.

Founder and managing director, James Howard, said: “We have big plans for the business over the next few years, including creating further jobs locally and the possibility of establishing a high street presence with a building to accommodate our expanding team and customer base.”

The firm has continued to flourish in line with the increasing use of debit and credit cards as payment methods over the past year.

Statistics published in June from banking trade body, UK Finance, revealed that debit card payments outstripped cash payments for the first time in 2017. James said: “Our own business growth, compounded by UK Finance figures reporting that 13.2billion debit card payments were made last year, a 14 per cent increase on 2016, shows that paying by card continues to increase in popularity.

“Businesses that are not set up to process card transactions are putting themselves on the back foot when it comes to cashing in on an increasingly cashless society.”
