Halifax baker to take on pastry in tonight's episode of The Great British Bake Off
Halifax Bake Off contestant Tom will take on pastry during tonight’s episode of the Great British Bake Off (GBBO).
The 25 -year-old hairdresser has been flying high in the Channel 4 competition so far, being named star baker twice already.
Tom would escape to his Nan’s to bake when he was six, mastering the perfect brandy snap before he was 10.

Outside of baking, Tom loves travelling and recently spent seven months exploring Southeast Asia with his boyfriend, Alex. The pair are now saving for a house together.
This week on GBBO will see the bakers tackle pastry in a bid to once again impress judges Nigella Lawson and Paul Hollywood.
A synopsis for the episode reads: “It's Pastry Week and the bakers are hoping to avoid soggy bottoms, as Paul and Nigella look for nothing short of pastry perfection.
"From puff and shortcrust to hot water crust, the bakers create delicious handheld savoury pies in the Signature and then face a hike up the Carpathian Mountains as they attempt to make a Polish choux dessert in the Technical.
"And in the Showstopper, it's eye-catching decorative pie pandemonium. Who'll flake under the pressure, and who'll move mountains?”
The Great British Bake Off airs on Channel 4 tonight (Tuesday) at 8pm.
