Police appeal: Man found in alleyway with injuries

A man had to receive hospital treatment after being found in a Halifax town centre alleyway with face and leg injuries.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the 26-year-old man was discovered by a member of the public at around 3.25am on Sunday.

He was in the alleyway which runs between Silver Street and George Street, near to the Yates’s Bar.

The man received hospital treatment for his injuries.

Det Con Richard Drabble of Calderdale CID said: “I am appealing for anyone who may have been in the area around that time who may have seen the man, or who can offer any information as to how he came about his injuries to come forward.

“The town centre was busy that evening, and I am certain that someone will have seen something and would urge them to contact the police. Enquiries are ongoing.”
