Avalanche, an Alpine inspired, pop-up tipi bar and grill concept has arrived in Halifax and made The Piece Hall its home for the next seven weeks.

“Avalanche at The Piece Hall” offers a laid-back atmosphere with authentic food and drink, inspired by owners Matt and Niamh’s multiple skiing trips to the Alps.

The open fire, festoon lights and wooden seating create a rustic vibe and overall festive experience.

A menu showcasing some of the Alps most treasured delicacies has been created; a firm favourite being Tartiflette, a dish from Savoy in the Alps made with potatoes, cheese, lardons and onion topped with raclette cheese.

“We are really excited to be at such a spectacular setting as The Piece Hall and play a role in their Christmas festivities,” said Matt Stephenson, co-founder of Avalanche.

Avalanche at The Piece Hall is open daily from 11am to 11pm until Monday 31 December.
