This week’s roadworks in West Yorkshire

Motorists could face disruptions while Highways England carries out planned roadworks on motorways in the region. Clearly signed diversion routes will be in place at the following closures from Friday October 9 until Sunday October 18.The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of Friday October 9 and could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.

- The northbound side of the M1 Junction 30-31 between Chesterfield and Worksop will be reduced to a single lane overnight for two nights from Monday October 12. The northbound entry slip road at Junction 30 will be closed overnight for two nights on Monday October 12 and Wednesday October 14. The northbound entry slip road at Junction 31 will be closed overnight on Tuesday October 13. The southbound side of the motorway will be reduced to a single lane overnight for four nights from Monday October 12. The southbound exit slip road at Junction 30 will be closed overnight for two nights from Monday October 12. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

- The hard shoulder of the M1 at Junction 32 Thurcroft to Junction 35a Stocksbridge is currently closed in both directions as part of the smart motorway scheme. There will be narrow lanes and a 50mph speed limit until the project is completed in winter 2016. The northbound side of the motorway will be reduced to a single lane overnight for three nights from Tuesday October 13. The northbound exit slip road at Junction 34 will be closed overnight on Tuesday October 13. The southbound side of the motorway will be reduced to a single lane from Junction 32 to Junction 34 overnight for seven nights from Monday October 12. The southbound entry slip road at Junction 34 will be closed overnight for two nights from Monday October 12. The southbound exit slip road at Junction 32 will be closed overnight on Sunday October 18. The southbound entry slip road at Junction 33 will be closed overnight on Friday October 16. The southbound exit slip road at Junction 33 will be closed overnight on Monday October 12 then a further two nights from Thursday October 15. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

- The hard shoulder of the M1 at Junction 39 Denby Dale to Junction 42 (M62 interchange) is currently closed in both directions as part of the smart motorway scheme. There will be narrow lanes and a 50mph speed limit in place until the project is completed in autumn 2015. The northbound side of the motorway will be fully closed between the slips at Junction 42 overnight for five nights from Monday October 12. The southbound exit at Junction 40 and the southbound entry at Junction 41 will be closed overnight on Thursday October 15. The southbound side of the motorway will be fully closed between Junction 39 to Junction 40 overnight for two nights from Monday October 12 and then a further three nights from Friday October 16. The southbound exit at Junction 39 and the southbound entry at Junction 39 will be closed overnight on Wednesday October 14. The northbound side of the motorway between Junction 40 and Junction 41 will be closed overnight for four nights from Tuesday October 13. The northbound side of the motorway between Junction 41 and Junction 42 will be closed overnight on Sunday October 18. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

- The southbound side of the M1 at Junction 37 Dodworth will be closed between the slip roads overnight for resurfacing works for five nights from Monday October 12. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

- There will be narrow lanes and a 30mph speed limit in place on the M62 Junction 26 at Bradford until the project is completed in April 2016. The slip roads and roundabout at the junction will be reduced to a single lane overnight, between 7pm and 6am, from Monday October 12 for five nights.

- The westbound entry slip road on the M62 Junction 25 at Brighouse will be closed overnight for patching works for two nights from Monday October 12. The eastbound exit slip road will be closed overnight for three nights from Wednesday October 14. The closures will be in place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

- The eastbound side of the M62 Junction 27 at Gildersome to Junction 28 at Tingley will be reduced to a single lane for technology works overnight on Monday October 12. The westbound side of the motorway will be reduced to a single lane for technology works overnight on Thursday October 15.

- The eastbound side of the M62 Junction 25 at Brighouse to Junction 26 will be reduced to a single lane for technology works overnight on Tuesday October 13.

- The anticlockwise carriageway of the M621 Junction One at Beeston will be closed overnight for five nights from Monday October 12 at Junction One for bridge works. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

- The anticlockwise entry slip road to the M621 at Elland Road will be closed for maintenance works on Saturday October 17 and 18. The closures will take place between 5am and 10am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

- The northbound exit slip road of the A1(M) Junction 37 at Blyth will be closed for patching works overnight on Friday October 16 between 9pm and 6am. There will be a lane one closure from Saturday October 17 at 6am to Monday October 19 at 6am. Drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

- The southbound exit slip road of the A1(M) Junction 36 at Warmsworth will be closed for electrical works for four nights from Monday October 12. The closures will take place between 9pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

- The westbound entry slip road to the A64 at Bondhill Loop will be closed overnight for patching works for five nights from Monday October 12. The eastbound entry slip road will be closed overnight for three nights from Monday October 12. The closures will take place between 9pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

- The eastbound and westbound side of the A616 Newton Chambers to Westwood road will be closed for resurfacing works from Friday October 16 for two nights. The closures will take place between 9pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

- The eastbound and westbound side of the A61 at Westwood roundabout road will be closed between Westwood and Wentworth Way for roundabout improvement works from Monday October 12 for four nights. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

- There will be narrow lanes on the A180 and A160 at Immingham along with a 50mph speed limit while work takes place to improve access to the Port of Immingham, including upgrading the A160 to a dual carriageway. The project is due to be completed in autumn 2016. The westbound exit slip road at Brocklesby will be closed until August 2016 and the eastbound entry at Brocklesby will be closed until August 2016. The westbound side of the motorway will be closed from Eastfield junction to Harbrough Roundabout overnight on Monday October 12. The eastbound and westbound side of the motorway will be closed from Brocklesby to Stallingbrough overnight for two nights from Saturday October 17. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes

A63 Alexandra Dock to Market Place Hull

- The westbound side and the eastbound side of the A63 motorway from Alexandra Dock to Market Place in Hull will be closed for a bridge inspection on Sunday October 18 between 6am and 2pm, with a clearly signed diversion in place.
