Crews called to cellar fire in Hipperholme
Firefighters were called to a house fire in Hipperholme in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday).
Crews from Brighouse and Odsal attended the cellar fire in George Street at 2.30am.
A smoke alarm had alerted the occupants of the property and had exited the house before firefighters arrived.
They spent two hours at the incident where the fire caused mainly smoke damage.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
