Shaymen's club captain Johnson joins Solihull Moors on loan

Johnson will link-up with former Town boss Chris Millington at Solihull as well as ex Halifax team-mates Scott High, Jevon Mills, Nat Ford, Tyrell Warren and Florent Hoti.

Johnson is expected to go straight into the Moors squad for their game tomorrow against Carlisle.

He has limited to just playing for Town in the National League Cup so far this season, with Stoke loanee True Grant establishing himself as John McGrath’s first choice at The Shay.

Johnson, who is out of contract in the summer, has two FA Trophy wins and a promotion under his belt at Town, and this will be the first time he’s played for a club other than Halifax for ten years, since he was on loan at Gateshead.
