Miss Corrigan started her career in teaching in 1995 at South Halifax High School, which occupied the same site as the current school.

Since that time she has worked in several different schools across various local authorities and also held a post as a senior lecturer in education at Sheffield Hallam University.

Her career has been diverse, including five years on the leadership team of an outstanding school, working in a challenging school in Liverpool and working across a hub of underperforming schools, focused upon school improvement, in the role of director of academy improvement.

She is a science teacher by trade and led a faculty of 20 staff to achieve the highest results in the local authority and throughout most of Yorkshire while in post.

Since then, she has been an assistant head teacher for key stage four, a vice principal in two different schools and a head teacher.

She is wholly committed to raising standards of teaching and learning to provide students with the best possible chances in life.

This year, she will be a guest speaker at the National Inspiring Leadership Conference.

Miss Corrigan is joining Park Lane at an exciting time and we look forward to her leadership, skills and experience bringing success to the students who are the key to future prosperity.
