Advice issued to visitors during partial road closure outside Halifax's hospital

Advice has been issued for anyone visiting Calderdale Royal Hospital’s Women and Children’s unit and A&E this week and next week.

Halifax’s hospital announced this morning (Monday) that there would be a partial closure of Godfrey Road between the Women and Children’s and A&E car park entrances from today until Friday, November 6.

The hospital advised anyone visiting A&E to access via Skircoat Green Road, then Godfrey Road.

For access to the Women and Children’s entrance, visitors should go via Dudwell Lane, then Godfrey Road.

The hospital said the partial road closure was for essential work.

In an earlier announcement the hospital said the Women and Children’s car park is now closed and the A&E car park is for drop-offs only.

The hospital advised visitors to use the new multi-storey car park, which opened on Saturday morning.

The new car park can be accessed off Dryclough Lane, and brings the total parking spaces at the hospital to around 800.
