Calderdale town named as one of UK’s best-value staycation destinations this autumn
A Calderdale town has been named as one of the UK’s best-value places for a staycation this autumn.
Research conducted by credit card company Zable ranked the top 10 best-value locations to visit for a staycation this autumn.
The research considered factors such as the average hotel price, the autumn rainfall, and local attractions.
Ranking as the fourth best-value location to stay was Hebden Bridge, after Fowey, Cambridge, and Padstow.

The research highlighted Hebden Bridge’s independent shops, stone cottages and scenic canal paths, and said its average hotel rate of £205 per night and access to surrounding natural attractions such as Hardcastle Crags provided “solid financial balance” for visitors.
The research also ranked the most affordable UK destinations for a pub roast dinner in autumn.
Hebden Bridge also featured in this list, ranking tenth most affordable, with an average roast dinner price of £19.57.
The first nine most affordable destinations for a roast dinner were Whitby, Bradford, Penzance, Keswick, Norwich, Ledbury, Hay-on-Wye, Bakewell, and York.
