10 jailed over 'industrial scale' Halifax drugs operation
Ten men have been jailed over the discovery of an “industrial scale” drugs operation based in Halifax.
A long-term investigation by West Yorkshire Police uncovered the plot to supply wholesale amounts of cocaine and cannabis across West Yorkshire.
The force says Mohammed Hussain, 33 of Lemington Avenue in Halifax, was operating two distribution hubs – one from a flat in Holmfield and the other on Savile Park Road.
From the hubs, he controlled stock levels, distribution, transactions and re-packaging and was often seen to meet couriers and customers.

Detectives say Hussain and Zahid Shakoor, 34 of Hornby Terrace in Halifax, were found to be present at both addresses and digital evidence proved their role in the wider gang.
Hussain was arrested in November 2024 following an exchange that led to the recovery of 4kg of cocaine, 20kg of cannabis, and £26,970 in cash.
Further searches at the addresses saw officers recover two stolen shotguns and industrial scale drugs paraphernalia, and make more arrests.

Detective inspector Kevin Daly, of the force precision team, said: “This was a huge investigation, and we know the devastating impact the supply and use of class A drugs can have.
“Large scale operations of this nature can drive associated criminality such as violence and exploitation across our neighbourhoods.
“Organised crime groups rely on firearms, violence and intimidation to maintain control over local drug markets, causing significant harm to our communities.
“Tackling this is a priority, but we cannot do it alone. We rely on the support of communities to provide information.
"Every piece of information, no matter how small it may seem, can help us build a clearer picture and take action.”
