Deadline today for online voter registration
Anyone who wishes to vote in the General Election who hasn’t yet registered must do so online by midnight tonight (April 20).
It is now too late to send a registration form by post, but online applications can be made through the government’s official voter registration website.
The Electoral Commission has said that 1.7 million people have registered to vote in the past five weeks - most of them online.
They have also said that an estimated 7.5 million eligible voters have still not registered.
