Thought for the Week column with Canon Michael Storey: Most bought book
Sunday, October 25 is Bible Sunday.
Even in these days of lots of religions, the Holy Bible is the book which sells most copies.

Christians believe that the Bible is God's Word.
Its purpose is to set out a way of life which will bring greatest purpose, joy, contentment, and fulfilment into people's lives.
The Bible is made up of 66 books – 39 in the Old Testament and 27 in the New Testament.
Dotted through the 66 books may be found many sentences which, over the years, have given support to people in every way one can think of.
A good way of helping you to go through life is to read a passage of scripture each morning, spend some time pondering its meaning and, so often, you will find that the passage you have read will help you through the day.
My favourite is Proverbs 29. v18 'Where there is no vision, the people perish’.
It is always best to have a purpose each day – and try to fulfil it!
