Temporary closure to market entrance while new doors are installed
One of the entrances to Halifax Borough Market will be closed for six weeks.
Visitors to Halifax Borough Market have been advised to use the Market Street and Southgate entrances for the next six weeks, while the Market Arcade entrance is temporarily closed.
The market and all businesses in the arcade will remain open as usual throughout the works, including the Health Food Shop, Dukes bar, and The Temperance Movement cafe.
The temporary closure is to allow for automatic doors to be installed at the entrance, to improve access for everyone as part of the Halifax Future High Streets project.
The closure is in place from September 1 for six weeks.
