Piece Hall gigs: First acts announced for Live at The Piece Hall 2027
The first headliners for next year’s Piece Hall summer gigs have been revealed.
Singer-songwriters Jack Savoretti and James Morrison are teaming up to perform at the iconic Halifax landmark on Friday, June 18.
The announcement comes after a record-breaking year for the concerts’ organisers, with 225,000 tickets sold across the 42-gig 2026 series.
Nicky Chance-Thompson, CEO of The Piece Hall Charitable Trust, said: “I’m really not sure how we’re going to top our 2026 season, but we’re certainly going to try!

“And what a wonderful first announcement for 2027 as we get ready to welcome two brilliant artists to Halifax who are both brand new to The Piece Hall.
“Steeped in history and stories, our courtyard is an incredibly special place for singer-songwriters, and I know they will love it here as much as we do.
"With our much-praised acoustics, audience intimacy, and stunning backdrop, I know this one will be emotional, in the very best way!”
The Halifax date is one of seven open air shows Jack Savorreti and James Morrison will be playing next summer.

The double-headline gigs will see each artist taking it in turns to close the show, with James closing the Halifax concert.
Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday (September 11) via ticketmaster.co.uk.
