Calling all dance music fans! High-energy duo to bring show to Halifax's Piece Hall next summer
Dance music fans will be planning to ‘rendez-vu’ in Halifax next summer as high-energy duo Basement Jaxx bring their live show to The Piece Hall.
The euphoric dance masters will play a headline performance at Live At The Piece Hall on Friday, June 25 – packed with anthemic hits including Red Alert, Do Your Thing, Jump And Shout, Where’s Your Head At and many more.
Their show is the second announcement of the day for the summer series of concerts in the historic courtyard, following this morning’s reveal from Robert Plant with Saving Grace and Suzi Dian.
Tickets go on sale at 10am Friday, November 6 via ticketmaster.co.uk.

After 10 years away from live performance, Basement Jaxx brought their energy-filled live experience back to the stage in 2025 and they haven’t looked back since.
While many of their contemporaries looked to technology to make their gigs a compelling experience, Basement Jaxx’s Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe have always embraced a maximalist approach – combining a dizzying array of singers, MCs, musicians and troupes of dancers to turn any stage into a life-affirming cavorting carnival of music.
The Basement Jaxx catalogue includes a series of albums including the ground-breaking, million-selling 1999 debut Remedy and 2001’s follow-up Rooty, and the double platinum UK Number One collection The Singles, earning two BRIT Awards and a GRAMMY along the way.

Nicky Chance-Thompson MBE DL FRSA, CEO of The Piece Hall Charitable Trust, said: “I’ve been hoping for a ‘rendez-vu’ with Basement Jaxx for a long time now – so I’m really excited for this gig.
“They've got that incredibly rare combination of having had huge chart success without ever losing any of their club cool.
“I love it when our hugely versatile building sees the courtyard turn into a dancefloor. With so many massive tracks, this will be a high energy, hands in the air kind of show and I’m so here for it! Dancing shoes at the ready.”
