Calderdale takeaway bids to open until 5am

Papa Johns on Commercial Street in Brighouse has applied to Calderdale Council for a late-night refreshment licence from Monday to Sunday between 11pm and 5am.

People have until November 16 to make share their views on the request.

Brighouse town centre improvement works have been underway since January, with Commercial Street re-opening to through traffic early last month.

Footfall to businesses fell through the spring and summer months compared to the previous year, but the construction work, carried out through the £19.1 million Town Deal is aimed at bringing long-term improvements.
