King left The Shay this summer after his two-year deal expired, rejecting the offer of a new contract in order to try and secure a move closer to his home in East Anglia.

The midfielder joined Town from King’s Lynn under Jamie Fullarton in the summer of 2018, and made 34 appearances in his first season. He then played 35 times for Town under Pete Wild during the 2019-20 season.

He will come up against Halifax next season after King’s Lynn earned promotion into the National League during the previous campaign.
